Treasure Island Pool Party Cancelled for May 29th

Mother Nature Unleashes Again

Treasure Island Resort regrets that the pool party scheduled for tomorrow has had to be cancelled.

Although the recent typhoon that passed to the East of Luzon is far gone, it left behind a bunch of messy weather that stretches all the way to Kota Kinabalu. It rained today and the forecast for tomorrow is for a lot more.

The next pool party is scheduled for Sunday, July 3rd. This along with the S.O.B.S on Friday night, along with “Phil-Am” Bar Hop on Saturday the 2nd should make for a good week-end to be in Subic.

S.O.B.S. – Sons of Bacchus – Subic, held its latest event in WET SPOT and it was an exciting night for everyone. The FUN started even before the 5pm kick-off and then it was a great 2-hour show.

Dancers from 8 of Subic/Barrio Barretto’s finest bars were there for a fantastic dance competition. Girls from the following bars were there to show off their BEST!!!

Cat Walk
Upper Lips

With 8 bars in attendance, it’s a great way to get a “Subic Sample” right from your judges seat! An extended “Bar Hop” that comes to right to YOU, UP CLOSE and FUN!

The winners this week were from LOWER LIPS, followed by last weeks winners Bar Barretto and then Hot Zone. They took home “First Place Honors” as the girls put on a fantastic show for everyone in attendance.

This week’s event will be held at the NEW SURRENDER Bar on Friday, May 27th. Be sure to make plan on being in Subic and enjoy the fun. Make it a Subic Week-end to remember!!!

Great reporting from www.nightlifephilippines.com here on the progression of this unique new bar. It’s still a work in progress but it’s coming along nicely and will surely be a great little spot to chill by the water in Subic….

Oldest Hotel in Olongapo burned…

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – The oldest hotel and restaurant in Olongapo City has turned into ashes after it was razed by fire on Tuesday.

Reports reaching here, said Kong’s Hotel and restaurant located along Magsaysay Drive at said city was gutted by fire at around 9 a.m.

The fire originated at the third floor of the establishment and immediately spread down the restaurant made of wood.

Several firefighting units including the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) fire trucks helped in putting the fire that reached the fourth alarm.

The report said that Wimpy’s restaurant and Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) casino besides Kong’s have been saved from the fire.

Kong is considered the oldest hotel and restaurant in Olongapo City.
Police said that Olongapo City arson investigators are still conducting the cause of the fire.

- Floating Bars receive damage from storm, put up for the season: Some news here on the floating bars at Arizona and Blue Rock. The recent storm damaged them both. Blue Rock’s got it worse than Arizona’s. Arizona’s will be repaired and put back out in November, and Blue Rock’s will be scrapped and a new one built in time for November also.

- New bar to open May 7th: Will be up the hill behind Blue Rock, named “Sand-Baggers”.

- New bar next to Generals Command Post to open in August: Will be named “Dynamite Dicks”, haha
